Lori Johnston is a financial advisor with a background in small business ownership. Prior to joining AG Edwards & Sons (a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC) in 2001, Lori owned and operated two franchised Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream shops and an independent coffee house in Washington, DC. She provides comprehensive investment planning services with an emphasis on Socially Responsible Investing.
 
Lori has her Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation and considers her careful attention to client’s goals to be a trademark of her services. She joined forces with Annie Chen, Financial Advisor, in 2005 when they realized they could compliment each other’s strengths and offer more diverse services by working together as a team. Lori and Annie joined Mayflower Advisors in 2009 and brought with them their investment planning knowledge and background, the foundation of which is built upon Annie’s knowledge in equities, insurance and alternative products, and Lori’s experience in fixed income and professionally managed products.
 
Lori met her spouse through their respective volunteer efforts with KaBOOM, a national non-profit that helps communities build playgrounds. From Lori’s prior position on the board of director’s of the Latin American Youth Center in Washington, DC to her current role as a volunteer to help raise funds for the Tufts Children’s Memorial Scholarship Fund, she remains dedicated to issues that directly affect children. Lori and Nancy now reside across the street from a wonderful playground in Somerville, MA with their two young daughters, Isabella and Harper.
