1968
Lloyd Glazer Begins his 6-Decade Career
Lloyd began a life of finance at the New York based brokerage firm Walston & Co.'s Boston office. 11 years later, Lloyd became a Registered Options Principal and began educating families and advisors about investment risk management strategies, developing the Belt and Suspenders Strategy to enhance portfolio income and asset protection.

1975
Lloyd Beings Educating his Family
Lloyd's son, Larry, followed in his father's footsteps and developed a passion for investing at age seven, when he first studied The Wall Street Journal!
While in college, Larry created an employee stock ownership plan for a local restaurant – saving the business from bankruptcy and igniting his interest in helping others.
1999
Passing of the Torch
After years of financial conversations at the dinner table, Larry formally joined his father Lloyd in the advisory business. Larry brought along his own experience from holding senior positions at H.C. Wainwright, Trammell Crow and Bank of Tokyo.
At this time, Lloyd proudly transitioned the legendary “STOCKS” license plate to Larry - symbolizing a third generation of financial stewardship of the family-owned investment advisory business with an eye to the future.
2002
Partners Launch Mayflower Advisors
Steven Dimitriou joined the partnership to establish a Retirement Planning Group to help guide plan sponsors and their employees towards successful retirements.
The co-founders, who continue to lead the team, worked together at securities brokerage and investment banking firm Advest, Inc.
2005
Mayflower on the Move
The partners made the move towards independence by shifting the firm under the Wells Fargo Financial Network. With the transition came a move to 100 Franklin Street, the site of the historic Boston Stock Exchange.

Lloyd & Co.'s Bucket List Trip
Lloyd Glazer was a proud advisor of the Boston Investment Associates, noted as “one of the Hub’s longest-lived private investment clubs” by the Boston Herald. After “they beat the Dow for 51 years (and counting)”, members were able to celebrate their good fortune and global investment strategy with a tour of European capitals. 3

Dimitriou Recognized
PlanSponsor Magazine featured Steven Dimitriou for his contributions to the retirement plan landscape.
"Dimitriou is passionate about employee education and participant service. 'I am a bit of a geek with the analysis, but really the most fun part is being in front of employees.' Mayflower stresses education more than anything, he notes. 'The more you are in front of participants, the more goodwill you earn.'”

MetroWest Office Opens
The practice opened its second office in Westborough, Massachusetts to offer a convenient suburban alternative for clients looking to avoid Boston’s legendary traffic.
2014
Larry Glazer Recognized
Larry Glazer was reconginzed by Financial Planning magazine for his pro bono work with the MA chapter of the Jump$tart Coalition.
Jump$tart raises awareness about the importance of financial literacy for everyone, but specifically focuses on students.
2017
50-Year Milestones Recognized
The practice recognized Lloyd Glazer and Michael Robbins for their respective 50-year milestones of meeting clients’ multi-generational financial management needs.

2019
Steve Dimitriou Named ARA President
The American Retirement Association (ARA) elected Steve Dimitriou as its President. Dimitriou previously served as President of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).

Mayflower Sets Sail - Launches RIA
Mayflower Advisors launched its own independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm and transitioned to BNY Mellon's Pershing as primary custodian.
This strategic shift to a fiduciary approach affirms Mayflower’s autonomy and positions the practice to best meet our clients’ evolving financial needs with a flexible, scalable infrastructure and custom planning solutions.
2021
North Carolina Office Opens
The practice opened its third office in Durham, North Carolina, led by advisor Jeff Cashin.
Much like Boston, the greater Durham area has experienced rapid growth in the technology, education, healthcare, and life sciences industries. Mayflower's advisors are excited to help their clients navigate this growth.

Mayflower Partnership Expands
Senior Wealth Managers Peter Martin and Bradley Gorney joined the Mayflower partnership following a decade of dedication to the firm, during which they played a pivotal role in elevating the Mayflower brand to new heights.

Celebrating 20+ Years aboard the Mayflower II
The Mayflower Advisors team was honored to gather in historic Plymouth with business partners and friends to celebrate more than 20 years in business. Over the past two decades, Mayflower has had the privilege of guiding families through life’s milestones, helping them grow, protect, and pass on their wealth with confidence.
The evening took place aboard the Mayflower II, a full-scale replica of the original ship that recently underwent a three-year, $20 million restoration — an effort proudly supported in part by the firm.
