Larry Glazer, AAMS®, is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Mayflower Advisors. Larry’s journey in finance began at the young age of seven, inspired by family discussions around the dinner table and early readings of The Wall Street Journal. This passion ultimately led him to partner with his father, Lloyd, in founding Mayflower Advisors. Prior to establishing Mayflower, Larry served as Senior Vice President at Advest, where he honed his expertise helping individuals, companies and non-profit organizations navigate through a complex financial world to achieve their financial goals by providing independent, full-service financial consulting and comprehensive, customized wealth management solutions.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry is deeply committed to community service and financial literacy. He was named Pro Bono Planner of the Year by Financial Planning Magazine and received the Community Leadership Award from Invest in Others for his dedication to financial education. As the volunteer Chairman of the Massachusetts Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, Larry advocates for incorporating financial literacy into school curricula, empowering students and families to make informed financial choices.
Larry has been recognized for his leadership roles and community involvement including the Temple Emanuel Keeper of the Flame or Man of the Year, as a past President of the Rivers School Alumni Association, where he was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award. As an undergraduate at Duke University, Larry created an employee stock ownership plan for a local restaurant, saving the business from bankruptcy and igniting his passion for helping others. He holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation, along with Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations.

He resides in Newton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Suzanne, and their three children.

1. AdvisorHub: Participation is open to all firms and advisors. Nominees are required to have a minimum of seven years experience, $1 billion minimum AUM, and a clean regulatory record. Using data on assets, households, and production, we rank advisors on three categories: scale, growth, and professionalism. Lastly, it’s important to note that participation in this ranking is free, and AdvisorHub receives no compensation from the participating advisors. Larry glazer received a Top-10 place on AdvisorHub's 150 Advisors To Watch (Over $1B) for both 2022 and 2024. Awarded on September 19, 2022 and June 18, 2024 for their respective calendar years.
2. To compile the inaugural Top Advisors list, InvestmentNews first solicited nominations from advisors, industry professionals, and clients. Only advisors nominated were eligible for the list. All information on the nominees had to be verified by their compliance team before it could be accepted. The final list was determined based on each advisor’s weighted ranking in overall AUM, AUM growth, and client growth (both between September 2022 and September 2023). The InvestmentNews team then tabulated a ranking for each advisor in each category and combined those scores to determine the advisor’s final ranking on the 2024 Top Advisors list.
