Mark Patterson joined Mayflower Advisors in 2026 following a 20-year career managing his own Registered Investment Advisory firm, MHP Asset Management LLC. Prior to founding MHP Asset Management, he worked as a professional trader across equities, fixed income, and commodities, developing investment strategies focused on portfolio construction and long-term risk management.
Mark has also served as an adjunct professor at several universities, including the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University, where he taught investment management. As part of the program, Mark provided students with the opportunity to experience the New York Stock Exchange firsthand.
As a Wealth Manager at Mayflower Advisors, he takes a hands-on approach to portfolio construction and ongoing investment management. He works closely with clients to understand their financial goals and help navigate their evolving investment, financial, and estate planning needs.
Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Roger Williams University and a master’s degree from Anna Maria College. Outside of the office, he trains and competes as an elite powerlifter, where he holds multiple records and has achieved a high world ranking.
